Preparing a summary proposal

How to prepare a proposal using APNIS.

This section assumes that you are logged in and have already completed your "basic profile" and "proponent profile". See Completing your profile for details.

A call for proposals link appears on your Dashboard when available. A summary proposal should be submitted in the first stage of the call for proposals process. To create a draft summary proposal, follow these steps:

  1. Complete your profile if you haven't done so.

  2. Click on the name of the call to view its details. Alternatively, select the call by clicking Proposals > Current open calls on the top menu.

  3. Click Submit a proposal to create a draft.

  4. To save a draft, you must fill in all required fields. Then click Save draft proposal to save your draft.

Character counts in APNIS may be different from those provided by other applications, such as Microsoft® Word. This is because of the difference in how they count white spaces and line breaks. If your input exceeds a certain limit, please shorten it until it is accepte by APNIS.

You can edit your draft anytime before the submission deadline.

To do so, go to Proposals > My proposals from the top menu and click on the reference number of your draft proposal, as indicated below:
